Xiaomi has started pushing a massive new HyperOS 3.1 build for the POCO F7 (Also Known as Redmi Turbo 4 Pro) in China. This is now rolling out as a Partial Release, and it is currently available for selected users in the Chinese market. The update brings the latest version of Xiaomi’s custom skin on top of Android 16 with various system improvements.
Update Details
The new build is 3.0.303.0.WOLCNXM and has a large file size of 7.8 GB. Because of its massive size, it is being released gradually (Partial Release), so not every POCO F7 owner in China will see the notification immediately. The update is currently in the early stages of rollout.
What to Expect

As a major HyperOS 3.1 build, this update is all about making the POCO F7 smoother and more battery-efficient. While we are still waiting for the official changelog, it’s safe to expect refinements to the Super Island feature, camera tweaks, and overall stability fixes. Keep in mind that since this is the Chinese variant, the update brings deeper integration with regional features like Super Xiao AI and HyperAI, instead of global Google AI services.
Important Things to Know Before Updating
- This is a very large update (7.8 GB), so make sure you are connected to a strong and stable Wi-Fi network.
- Keep your phone plugged in or have at least 60-70% battery before starting the download and installation.
- It is highly recommended to take a full backup of your important data, photos, and files before installing, just to be on the safe side.
- After the update completes, your phone may feel warm and will run background optimization for some time – this is completely normal and can take 10–30 minutes.
Once the update is finished, the installation package will be automatically deleted to free up storage space.
This update is currently limited to China. The global version for the POCO F7 is expected to arrive later. If you are in China and have received the update notification, you can go ahead and install it after taking proper precautions.
