One UI 9 Eligible Devices List

If you are a Samsung device user, then this update list may be very important for you. One UI 9 is coming based on Android 17, and it is going to be a big upgrade for many. Those who use Galaxy S series, Z Fold or mid-range A series phones, they want to know if these updates will come to their phones. However, Samsung has not officially announced the full list yet, this list is given according to the phone’s update policy and some reports.

One UI 9 Key Features

One UI 9 is not just an update in name, it is going to come with many new features. The Now Bar in the refined system UI has become more beautiful, the blur layer has been improved, the quick settings control has become larger and the widget scaling has become much cleaner.

Galaxy AI has become more powerful than before – it has contextual suggestions, browser assistance and on-device processing advances. Multitasking is smoother with split screens, floating windows, and a desktop-style workflow for foldables. Samsung is also expected to improve battery optimization, privacy controls and overall system animations with One UI 9.

One UI 9 Eligible Devices List

Based on Samsung’s current software update policy and recent reports, the following devices are expected to receive One UI 9. The launch is expected to be in July 2026 with the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series.

  • Galaxy S Series: S26 (S26, S26+, S26 Ultra), S25 (S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge, S25 FE), S24 (S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, S24 FE), S23 (S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, S23 FE)
  • Galaxy Z Series: Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8 (at launch), Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5 (some reports suggest Z TriFold and special editions)
  • Galaxy A Series: A57, A56, A37, A36, A35, A26, A25, A17, A16 and some new mid-range models

Some Tab S10 and Tab S11 series tablets are also expected to get this update

Devices That Will Get One UI 9 as Their Last Major Update

However, there is one important point users should keep in mind regarding Samsung’s software support policy. According to Samsung’s update policy, not all phones receive equal support. For phones whose OS upgrade cycle is coming to an end, One UI 9 may be the last major update. After that, they will only get security patches, and no new major versions will come.

This list will mainly include older flagships and some mid-range models:

  • Galaxy S23 Series (S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, S23 FE)
  • Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5
  • Some older A series (such as A35, A25, etc. which are nearing the end of their support cycle)

If these phones get One UI 9, it will be the last major feature update. After that, only security updates will continue for a few years. The new S25 or S26 series phones will, however, get a few more major updates.

Since Samsung has not officially confirmed the complete One UI 9 rollout list yet, some devices may still be added or removed later. The final rollout schedule will likely become clearer closer to the official release. If your phone model is on the list above, you can expect to get the update.
